So widespread and pervasive
is the deception on this earth
that the Scripture says
the fallen angel has deceived
the whole world.
But the Lord gave the means
to escape that deception
when he gave the insight
that began the Protestant movement.
After centuries of mankind
trying to save itself by its
repentance, church, and ordinances,
the Lord showed that the righteousness
that brings eternal life is entirely his
and not our own at all.
And he showed that he became
righteousness for us when he went to the cross,
and that his righteousness is considered
to be ours when and only when
we place all our trust on him for salvation
and absolutely no trust on us or our efforts.
Because Christ loves you,
he became righteousness for you
so that you could have eternal life.
His righteousness is yours
when you place your trust in him
to be your entire righteousness for salvation.

*************************************************************************
PLEASE CONSIDER THE QUESTION!
The question is not: HOW are we saved?
The question is: WHO has eternal life?
Many on this newsgroup simply do not grasp the teaching
of John about **who has eternal life**.
John said:
"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;"
I John 3:6
Surely we all agree that those who are born of God must
have faith. Therefore, it must follow that those who
commit sin - do not have faith.
IF: Those who are born of God have faith in Christ.
AND: "Whosoever is born of God does not commit sin."
1 John 3:6
THEN: Those who commit sin do not have faith in Christ.
IT IS JUST THAT SIMPLE!
Those who think they have faith in Christ and yet
commit sin, do not have faith in Christ.
"He that committeth sin is of the devil;"
I John 3:8
John was not teaching that we are "saved by our works"
and neither are those who quote him. However, John
was teaching that those who claim to believe in Christ
and still commit sin are not of God --they are of the devil.
Again, for you who have previously misunderstood our
posts, please understand us now - the question is not
"HOW are we born of God?" The question is WHO is born
of God.

I Jn 3:10
"In this the children of God are manifest, and the
children of the devil: whosoever **doeth not righteousness **
IS NOT OF GOD, neither he that loveth not his brother."
