Spam, Scam, Forgery and Trolls are a sad and pathetic fact of life on
Usenet.
There are several ways to deal with anti-Islam troll and the barrage
Spam intended to flood alt.religion.islam
anti-Islam troll who has to put his trash on every thread no matter
what. Because he is a troll. Pure and simple.
First ridicule him, since he is crying for attention, a pathetic
attempt to be noticed. Even though all the attention is negative, it
doesn't matter, he still enjoy it and STILL hangs around, Why??
Because he is a troll, not everybody troll, he's our troll :-)
Every time he suffered humiliated defeat, he keeps coming back, never
realizing that he has lost. It is like cutting the head off a
cockroach. It doesn't even realize it's dead.
He is not only a troll, but an imposter with blue skin who had to put
on a lot of makeup all day.
However to deny the troll continuation satisfaction and make him go
away take these steps;

dispossessing its inhabitants and replacing them with Jews from Europe
and other parts of the world. While the natives whose families lived
on this land for thousands of years are not allowed to return, Jews
from all over the world are welcome to instant citizenship.

Contribution of Islam to the world's civilization
Let us remember our great and glorious heritage by briefly surveying
what Islam has already contributed to the world's civilization,
education, culture and to scientific development.
Unlike Christianity where Religion and Science are two separate
elements, the study of Science has always been compatible with Islam.
Many young Muslims are discouraged when they see the poor standard of
living of Muslims throughout the world and their limited
opportunities. They also know the undeveloped status of technology
within the Muslim countries in comparison with the West. From these
observations, they immediately leap to the conclusion that the Muslim
countries are ‘backward’, because Islam cannot adapt itself to the
changing conditions; cannot assimilate new knowledge. Some even go so
far as to say that Islam is actually against progress and against
scientific advancement. However, those Muslims who have studied the
later part of Islamic history will know that this is a complete
fallacy and misconception.
Let us do a brief review of the contribution of Islam to civilization
as we know it.
Trigonometry, Sine, Tangent, Co-Tangent
The Arabs developed these functions in trigonometry and Ibn Moosaa's
work Hisaab-Al Jab-Wal Muqaabala (The Calculation of Integration and
Equation) presented 800 examples in the 8th century CE. His work was
translated from Arabic into Latin and until the 16th century CE, it
was Europe's main textbook on the subject.
Algebra and Geometry
Muhammad bin Moosaa Al-Khawaarizmi is considered to be one of the
founders of Algebra. The word ‘Algorithm’ or 'Algorizm' is a
corruption of his name or the name of the town Khwaarizm (Kheva), in
what is now Uzbekistan, where he was born. He adopted the use of
‘cipher’ (zero), that was devised in India some centuries earlier, a
numeral of fundamental importance, leading up to the so-called
arithmetic of positions and the decimal system. The very word ‘zero’
is a derivative of the Arabic ‘sifr’ or ‘cipher’. His pioneering work
on the system of numerals is well known as "Algorithm," or "Algorizm."
In addition to introducing the Arabic numerals, he developed several
arithmetical procedures, including operations on fractions.
Another great mathematician was Omar Khayyaam, who offered to the
world geometric and algebraic solutions of the second degree.
Naseeruddeen wrote the treatise on quadrilateral trigonometry, as well
as plain and spherical geometry.
Physics and Chemistry
Kamaaluddeen examined the refraction of sunlight in raindrops and
offered an explanation of the genesis of primary and secondary
rainbows. The story of the invention of the pendulum and the
presentation of a water clock to Emperor Charlemagne by Haaroon Ar-
Rasheed is well known.
The great historian Gibbons wrote in his Decline and Fall of the Roman
Empire (Volume 5) that the science of chemistry owes its origin and
improvements to the Muslims.
Science of Mechanics
The development of the science of mechanics in Islam is an act of
genius. Moosaa bin Shaakir described one hundred pieces of mechanical
equipment in his book of artifices. Other outstanding Muslim treatises
included Al Kitaab Fi Ma`rifat Al-Hiya Al-Handasiyyah (The Book of the
Knowledge of Ingenious Geometrical Contrivances) by Abul Fiaz bin Al
Raz and Al Kitaab Meezanal-Hikmah (The Book of Balance and Wisdom) by
Al-Khazini. He also did work on accurate weighing, and determination
of the specific gravity of substances.
Camera Obscura
In the field of optics, Camera Obscura was invented by Ibn Haytham in
1038 CE.
Theory of Relativity
Qaadhi Abu Bakr had developed the theory of relativity in the 8th
century CE in terms of time and space by means of mathematical
equations and astrophysics. Imagine, Einstein was not even born in the
Western world, who propounded the same theory of relativity much later
in the 20th century CE.
Geography
As far as geography was concerned, Muslim scientists established that
the world was round in the 9th century CE, and the first map of the
globe was made during the Caliphate of Ma’moon.
Paper Making
This was one of the earliest skills attained by the Muslims. As early
as the 8th century CE, high quality paper was being manufactured in
Samarqand. Egypt was known to have its first paper mill in the year
900 CE. The earliest Arabic manuscript written on paper that has been
discovered is the Ghareeb Al Hadeeth by Abu ‘Ubayed, dated 837 CE. It
can be seen in Holland preserved in the library at the University of
Leyden.
Advances in Industry
Under Islamic rule, Spain was an industrial center. It was one of the
wealthiest and most thickly populated of the European countries.
Muslims were leading in weaving wool, producing silk, pottery,
jewelry, leather and perfume industry. In the Middle Ages, world trade
was commanded by Muslims and Baghdad, Bukhaara and Samarqand remained
centers for world fairs until the 16th century CE. The Bayt Al-Hikmah
at Cairo contained two million books, the library at Tripoli contained
some three million, but this library was burned down by the Christians
during the first Crusade.
Miracles of the Quran
Let us consider the hundreds of scientific facts mentioned in the Holy
Quran. For example, the fact that the earth was previously a part of
the sun and after its separation, it became a habitable place for
humankind, as mentioned in chapter 21, verse 30. That matter is made
up of sub-atomic particles (chapter 10, verse 61). That the embryo in
the mother's womb in enclosed by three epithelial coverings (chapter
39, verse 6). That each human being has a unique fingerprint (chapter
75, verse 4) etc. There are thousands of other scientific facts in the
Holy Quran.
Regrettably, today the West is at its peak and we have lagged behind
so far. However, our downfall is not due to Islam, as the West would
like us to believe, but due to our sheer neglect of Islamic
principles. We must realize that Islam is undeniably the most
progressive religion, which is in fact a way of life with a very wide
scope.
Of course, life is a very hard struggle. However, struggle is an
inbuilt instinct of human nature. Struggle is a way but not an
accomplishment or attainment in itself. We should make an effort and
struggle but at the same time make Du'aa. This is where Tawakkul, i.e.
trust in Allaah comes because destiny supersedes thought. We must
trust in Allaah for our betterment, because if success depended merely
upon one’s personal struggle, then nobody in the world would be
unsuccessful. Furthermore, struggle is itself predestined by Allaah.
Man should do his best, then leave the rest to Allaah, Most High.

The Torah is essentially the Old Testament. Tell me, given the fact
that the core of Christianity lies in the New Testament, isn't it a
bit strange that Europe ultimately adopted both as infallible
Christian doctrine? RIght down to that charming Israelite genocide of
the Caananites. Why don't we just reverse that strange decision?
Christianity would certainly be more Christian and Judaism would be a
fully separate faith. This may seem a bit tongue in cheek but I'm of
the opinion that the Torah remains profoundly foreign to the Western

One in 20 women has been raped in UK
The Home Office revealed that 167 women are raped in England and Wales
every day and that one in 20 of the adult female population is a rape
victim.
The findings were published in the most extensive study carried out in
Britain of sexual victimization of women. It showed that about 754,000
women in England and Wales have been raped.
The Home Office research, based on interviews with 7,000 women over
the age of 16, destroys the common view that rape is an offence
carried out by strangers in public places and provides a disturbing
insight into the level of sexual offending within relationships. It
found that 45 per cent of rapes were perpetrated by the victim's
current partner, compared to 8 per cent by strangers. The survey found
that 55 per cent of attacks took place in the victim's home and that
rapes by partners were more violent than those by strangers.
The Home Office minister John Denham said: "The publication of the new
research dispels some of the myths about rape and sexual
victimization, especially the stereotype of the majority of rapes
being committed by strangers in public places." Describing rape as "an
abhorrent crime", he announced a 13-point government action plan for
increasing the proportion of rape cases that end in conviction from
the current level of one in 13.
Lord Goldsmith, the Attorney General, said: "The Government is setting
out a range of actions that will improve the investigation and
prosecution of rape. Prosecuting rape poses special challenges ...
because a high percentage of offenders are known to the victim and
there is rarely any independent eyewitness evidence."
The Home Office research was carried out as part of the British Crime
Survey, a random survey of households that includes offences not
reported to the police, and is believed to give the most comprehensive
picture of criminal activity.
Teenagers are most at risk of rape, with women aged between 16-19
almost four times as likely to be attacked as older females.
Women from poorer backgrounds are especially vulnerable, with those
from households with an annual income of under £10,000 three times
more likely to be raped than women from homes where income is more
than £20,000.
The researchers examined 1,183 incidents of rape or sexual assault
reported by the women and found that 56 per cent of attacks were
committed by current or former partners, 21 per cent by "dates" or
other intimates and 16 per cent by acquaintances.
The authors said: "Attacks by partners are more than twice as likely
to result in a physical injury (39 per cent) as attacks by strangers
(19 per cent)."
Kate Mulley, policy manager at Victim Support, said the "frightening"
research had made an important link between sexual attacks and
domestic violence. She said: "It is not just about people being
dragged down dark alleys by strangers, it's about people that you
know."
The research indicated that 61,000 women were raped in the year
preceding the British Crime Survey 2000. But police figures recorded
only 7,707.
The government action plan announced yesterday includes new training
for police to ensure they treat victims correctly and properly collect
scientific evidence, and the setting up of a team of specialist rape
prosecutors across the country.
The study did not interview homeless or institutionalized women and
interviews were not always conducted in private.

comparative law,that has opened a new chapter,not only in our
university,but, to our knowledge,in this country'' - leaving out spaces
after all but one of the commas. It was published in several Iranian papers
this week.
Oxford said in its statement that it ``has no record of Mr. Ali Kordan
receiving an honorary doctorate or any other degree from the university.''
It added that the three professors whose alleged signatures are on the
certificate have all held posts at the university at some stage but none of
them work in the field of law and none would sign degree certificates.
The alleged fake has been heavily covered in several Iranian newspapers and
Web sites, and parliament speaker Ali Larijani on Monday ordered the body's
education committee to look into the degree's authenticity.
The Tehran prosecutors office announced Wednesday that the Alef news Web
site, which has carried several reports questioning the degree, has been
``banned based on complaints by legal entities,'' the state news agency IRNA
reported. The office said the site had no work license and did not link the
ban to the interior minister issue. The site could not be accessed in Iran
on Wednesday.
``The Interior Ministry does not have the right to threaten the media for
questioning the authenticity of the claim,'' parliament member Ahmed
Tavakoli was quoted as saying on Alef. He said the ``truth of such an
important issue must be made clear.'' Interior Ministry officials could not
be reached Wednesday for comment on the Oxford statement.
During his confirmation debate, numerous lawmakers argued Kordan was
unqualified for the ministry post, some claiming that his Oxford degree was
a fake. Kordan was approved Aug. 5 by a relatively slim margin of around 160
of the 269 lawmakers present, a reflection of the concerns. The Interior
Ministry runs the country's police and oversees elections.
Kordan was considered a compromise candidate between hardline President
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Larijani, who is a conservative but seen as a rival
to the president. Kordan was Larijani's deputy when Larijani held a previous
post as head of the state broadcasting service, and Kordan later went on to
serve as deputy oil minister.
Ahmadinejad defended Kordan amid the debates, dismissing degrees in general
as ``torn paper'' not necessary for serving the people.
An Interior Ministry statement this week insisted the degree was authentic,
calling claims otherwise ``destructive'' and ``insulting'' and urging media
to refrain from ``lying and suspicious reports.''
Tavakoli and other parliament opponents of Kordan have not called for his
resignation. Hamid Rasai, a lawmaker who backs Kordan, was quoted in several
Iranian papers this week saying parliament approved Kordan despite the
degree dispute, but added that the minister should ``remove the
ambiguities'' over the issue.

cream, because it did not exist in the time of the Prophet, while hair
salons and shops selling cosmetics have also been bombed.
Most seriously, Sheikh al-Hayyes said: "I saw them slaughter a nine-
year old boy like a sheep because his family didn't pledge allegiance
to them."
Such tactics have triggered a backlash among Sunnis, whom Al-Q'aeda
had claimed to be protecting, the sheikh and military leaders said.
Lieutenant-Colonel Tim Albers, an American intelligence officer, told
the news agency: "Al-Qa'eda's very heavy-handed killing of civilians
backfired on them. The Sunnis just wouldn't stand for it any more.
"The self-described protectors of the Sunni community now kill more
Iraqi Sunnis than anyone else."
